Karen Anderson and Michael Holliday have visited Coll again with the latest designs. These were met with general approval at both the public presentation held on March 2nd and the drop in surgery the following day. The community consultation process has proved to be a very beneficial experience, with a great sense of ownership developing amongst the community. The architects have been very good at listening to and taking on board people’s comments. What we have now is a building that we can look forward to occupying...though there will be a wee bit of fundraising in between...

The local Development Officers are in the process of completing the Outline Proposal Form for the Lottery, and the working group are making progress towards becoming a company limited by guarantee.

Once we have been given approval by the Lottery to submit a full application, the architects will finalise the drawings and submit to the Planning Department for full planning consent. At this point, the business plan should be almost complete and then we can turn our attention to developing our fundraising package.
