Sanday and neighbouring island North Ronaldsay are the most northerly of the Orkney Islands. The islands joined Initiative at the Edge together in September 2004. Both islands have ambitious plans, facilitated by volunteer-led charitable trusts these are Sanday Development Trust and North Ronaldsay Trust respectively.
