Since then she has worked on commissions, installations of paintings & murals in various public buildings in the Fife area. As well as exhibiting in galleries throughout Scotland, Susan is currently lecturing in art & Design in Elmwood College & Coatbridge College.

‘My current work is an amalgam of media and techniques. For this collection I have used a combination of painted plaster, photographs, and wax and acetate transfers mixing old and new technologies. Inspired by my roots in North East Scotland, and my ties to The Shetland Islands, my subject matter includes the wild and rugged coastline contrasting with the tamed nature of the countryside. The natural world and how it is affected, by man or the natural elements, has for me has been a very important part of my life and of how to portray it. My main aim is produce work which will display my interest in the environment and to combine a variety of media with subject matter in a way that allows me to explore, develop and express my interpretation of the natural world.’

Malcolm Cheape lives and works in Glenfarg, Perthshire where he has worked since completing a BA Honours and Postgraduate course in painting at Duncan of Jordanstone college of Art in Dundee in 1987. His primary subject matter is the contemporary and historical world of commercial, industrial and naval shipping. This includes decommissioned fishing boats, private yachts modern day trawlers, tall ships and battleships. Scotland's East and West coasts give him the backdrop from which he captures the grace and character of commercial water-bound vessels. Through researching the archives of Britain's maritime museums his work attempts to mirror both the past and present.

Juno is delighted to bring this must see Exhibition of work from two new and innovative Artists.
