Initiative at the Edge

Bringing new life to Scotland's remotest communities

Initiative at the Edge is supported by the Scottish Executive with Ministerial input to the National Steering Group. This input ensures effective feedback to the Cabinet Secretary with responsibility for Finance and Sustainable Growth via the Enterprise Networks.
Initiative at the Edge has now been established since 1998 and in that time it has encouraged and supported a community-led, multi-agency approach to achieving a sustainable future for selected areas designated as the most economically and socially fragile in the Highlands and Islands.
